FMR Junior End of Season Presentations

This season has been record breaking for FMR. 26 teams. 320 kids. MASSIVE YEAR!

There is a huge amount of effort that is put in to make sure FMR provides a rewarding and enjoyable experience for our Juniors, and as the biggest club in the Southwest, we are clearly doing something right!
I would like to thank the Junior Committee - Grace, Anita, Annelise, Catriona, Jimmy, Paul D, and Ian A. Also ALL Coaches and Managers, The Exec, some of whom are proud parents, Alex, Hayley, Mike, Anita, Grace, Reece. Paul Brown our President, Luke Johnston our Technical Director, and Senior Coordinators Byron Hudson and Charlotte Johnston. Also thanks to the FMR LNJSA Junior Referees, Taj Prendergast, Lucas Lawrey, Henry Winter and William Newnham for being part of the LNJSA Referee program this year. We have had a lot of interest for the 2025 season which is great to see. Lastly, thank you to the parents. To anyone who has put their hand up to Ref, run the lines or help in the canteen through the season. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We are entirely reliant of the efforts of volunteers and I would encourage any parents here today to get involved where you can, as it really is rewarding to see the kids out there enjoying their sport, week after week. Our AGM is on the 21st November and all positions will be declared vacant, including some new ones that we hope to fill to help spread the loan for 2025. Come and talk to any of the Committee about it either today or send them an email.

Mini-Roos numbers exploded, and our FIFA teams have had a cracker year. Four teams in the Cup finals, and 2 wins in games that went down to the wire, 2 teams runners up to the league, and FMR players won each age group in the LNJSA Fairest and Best Awards. We also had two players from FIFA making their debut in the Senior Squads in Chloe Willsher and Lucas Lawrey.
This year, the U12’s once again had an introduction to FIFA, participating in the FIFA Cup rounds and gaining an understanding of the rules they will be fully playing under next year.
Everyone has played their socks off this year. We had 36 FMR players representing LNJSA at Country Week and a few who are also travelling overseas to play as well. It’s been a great year for our Club! See you in 2025!!
